Bidding on Patterson Motors after hours - when does it actually process?

Thread starter kevin_tradesStart date 04/05/2026
So I'm looking at a 2019 Ford F-150 on pattersonmotors.com and I placed my bid around 11pm on Saturday night. Now I'm wondering when this actually gets reviewed or processed? Do they work weekends or am I waiting until Monday morning? First time using Patterson Motors for an auction and just want to know what to expect with the timing.
Hey man, I've bought 3 vehicles from Patterson Motors and the way it works is bids are reviewed during business hours. So if you bid Saturday night, they'll process it Monday morning. You'll get an email confirmation either way. The auction stays open until the listed end time so you're good. Just keep an eye on your email Monday.
I did the exact same thing lol. Bid on a 2021 Honda CR-V on a Sunday afternoon and was refreshing my email like crazy. They got back to me first thing Monday around 9am EST. The whole process was smooth once business hours started. Don't stress about it.
Yeah timing can be confusing at first. I buy for my lot so I've learned their schedule. Business hours are Mon-Fri 9-6 EST. Weekend bids queue up and get processed Monday. Pro tip: if you need to reach them urgently about a bid, email office@pattersonmotors.com on Monday morning and they're usually pretty responsive. I've never had an issue with the timing once I understood how it worked.
Thanks everyone! That makes sense. I was just worried my bid would expire or something. Glad to know Monday morning is when things kick in. Appreciate the quick responses.
I won a 2018 Chevy Silverado from Patterson Motors last month and my winning bid was on a Friday night around 10pm. Got the congrats email Monday at 9:15am. Then the payment instructions came through same day. Truck was delivered the following Thursday. The whole title transfer was handled perfectly - got the clear title with the delivery and everything was legit. Just be patient with the weekend timing.
One thing I learned is you can still adjust your max bid during the weekend if the auction is still open. I bid Saturday on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, then upped my max bid Sunday afternoon. Both processed Monday and I ended up winning. The system queues everything up nicely.
I'm a mechanic and I've inspected a few vehicles friends bought from pattersonmotors.com. One buddy bid late Sunday on a 2017 Dodge Ram and was panicking about the timing. I told him to chill and wait for Monday. Sure enough, Monday morning he got confirmation. The truck showed up exactly as described in the listing. These guys are legit, just gotta understand their business hours.
I had a small issue where I emailed them on a Saturday with a question about bidding and didnt hear back until Tuesday. I was a bit annoyed at first but then realized it was the weekend plus Monday was some kind of bank holiday. When they did respond from office@pattersonmotors.com the agent was super helpful and walked me through everything. Just remember they're not 24/7 support.
@julie_drives yeah that's fair. They're a regular business with normal hours. I've bought 2 vehicles from them (2019 Nissan Altima and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler) and both times I made sure to reach out during the week if I had questions. The bidding system itself works fine on weekends, it's just the human response that waits til Monday. Totally reasonable imo.
Same situation with boats btw. I won a 2015 Sea Ray on a Sunday bid through Patterson Motors and the notification came Monday morning. Delivery took about a week since I'm in Florida but the title paperwork was flawless. Bank cleared it immediately and the clear title arrived with the boat. No stress at all once you get past the weekend wait.
Does anyone know if the auction end times are strict? Like if an auction ends Sunday at 8pm, does that mean no more bids or do they extend it?
@tommy_b the end times are firm. Once the countdown hits zero, bidding closes. But like I said before, the winner notification comes during business hours. So if it ends Sunday 8pm, you'll know Monday morning if you won. I've never seen them extend an auction unless there's some technical issue on the site, which is super rare.
Just to add my experience - I bid on a 2018 GMC Sierra on a Saturday morning and won. Got my notification Monday at 9:02am lol. Paid same day and the truck was delivered that Friday. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by Patterson Motors and arrived perfectly with all the paperwork. Honestly one of the smoothest vehicle purchases I've ever done.
Update: Got my notification this morning at 9:17am! I won the F-150! Payment instructions are clear and I'm moving forward. Thanks again everyone for explaining the timing. Makes total sense now. Super excited about this truck.
Congrats @kevin_trades! That's awesome. You'll be happy with Patterson Motors. Like I said, I've done this 3 times now and every delivery has been on point. Enjoy the new ride man.
I'm actually in the same boat right now. Bid on a 2020 Mazda CX-5 yesterday (Sunday) evening and waiting for Monday morning. This thread helped me understand what to expect so thank you! Feeling way more confident about the process now.
The timing thing threw me off at first too. I bought a 2017 Ford Explorer for my wife last year and bid on a Saturday. Spent the whole weekend wondering if I got it lol. Monday morning came and boom - confirmation email. Truck was exactly as described, no hidden issues. I inspected it myself obviously since that's what I do. Everything checked out. No issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with the vehicle.
This is really helpful info. I've been looking at a 2019 Honda Pilot on pattersonmotors.com for my family and the auction ends this Saturday night. Now I know not to freak out if I don't hear anything until Monday. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here.
I collect older trucks and bought a 2014 Chevy Avalanche through Patterson Motors with a Sunday night winning bid. Monday morning notification, paid Tuesday, delivered the following Monday. The process is consistent and professional. They handle the bank paperwork and title transfer smoothly. You just gotta be patient with the weekend timing like everyone said.
So I completed my payment yesterday and already got confirmation that delivery is scheduled for next Tuesday. This whole process has been way easier than I expected. Definitely recommend Patterson Motors to anyone looking at repo auctions. The after-hours bidding is totally fine, just remember it's a regular business with normal hours for processing.
I buy in volume for resale and the weekend bidding actually works in my favor sometimes. Less competition late Saturday or Sunday night. I've won several vehicles that way - a 2016 Toyota Camry, 2018 Ford Escape, and a 2017 Kia Sorento all on weekend bids. Monday mornings I wake up to multiple confirmation emails from office@pattersonmotors.com and just process payments in bulk. Their system handles it great. Highly recommend for anyone doing this regularly or just once.
Update from me too - I won the Mazda! Got my email this morning right at 9am. So excited! Thanks to everyone in this thread for the reassurance. The process is legit and the timing makes sense once you understand it.
We needed a bigger vehicle for our growing family and found a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica on pattersonmotors.com. Bid on a Sunday, won on Monday notification, and had it delivered by the end of the week. The minivan is perfect for us and the kids love it. Great value and the whole experience was professional. I was worried about the title but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the vehicle during delivery. Very smooth.
